Welcome to the world of Christian atheism, where people believe in God, but live as if he doesn’t exist.
For some people the idea that you can even know God on a personal level or a relational level seems very unlikely, unattainable and unrealistic. Part of the problem is that most of us don’t realize that there are different levels of knowing God.
•Some people know God by reputation.
•Some people know God from their memories.
•Some of us know Him intimately.
Knowing God naturally leads to doing what He says, but doing what he says doesn’t always mean we know God.
